Wellbeing check-in questions for employees
A useful wellbeing check-in is a short text a person can answer on the phone they already have. There is no app to download. The question is personalised and fully customisable, and it says clearly what Yes and No mean.
A question people can answer
Keep each question to one Yes or No. Say what each reply means, so a No is a request for support and not a guess. Use the person’s name, and the words your organisation already uses for its support team.
Always remember, you are never alone.
The same warmth can sit inside other questions. You might ask whether today feels manageable, or whether someone is okay to keep working. Each one stays a single text, with Yes and No spelled out. People answer because the message meets them where they already are, in your organisation’s own words.
The question is a check-in. It is not a diagnosis.
What a reply looks like
This example uses three messages. The question asks for Yes or No. The reply starts with No. The follow-up is warm, and it tells the person what happens next.
Hi Sarah, how are you going this week? Reply Yes if you're OK, or No if you need support
No, it's been a tough week
Thanks for telling us, Sarah. Someone from the support team will be in touch soon. Always remember, you are never alone.
No data needed to reply by text.
A No is triaged so professional support can make contact. Leaders see anonymous trends, not the private reply.
AI-4U can sit alongside the check-ins as a support navigation tool. AI-4U does not provide counselling, diagnosis, treatment or emergency response.
